Here are the steps to set up ATT email settings for the iPhone.
Look for 'Settings', hit on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.
Then, press on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'.
Select 'Add mail account', and type the following information:
Name: your name
Email: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password
Description: a personal description
Select IMAP and enter the following details.
under 'Incoming mail server':
Hostname: imap.mai.att.net
Username: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password
Below 'Outgoing mail server' write the details below and choose 'next':
Hostname: smtp.mail.att.net
Username: your AT&T email address
Password: your AT&T email password
Check 'Email' properly and click 'Save'.
Your email account is now conserved. In the following steps, we test if all settings are accurate.
Press on your newly formulated email address and select 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is valid under 'Incoming server SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993
Go back to the prior screen and beneath 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.mail.att.net. check the following information is right:
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465
Select 'Done' at the top right and reboot the iPhone to switch on the settings.
Now, your account ATT SMTP server settings has been completed. Start the mail app to utilize your account.
